Our Sunday worship service is at 10:00 a.m. in person.

On Sunday, July 24 and 31, we are holding joint worship services at First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville (FUMCV)
(68 Maple Avenue), the Rev. Holly Cameron presiding.

On Sunday, August 7 and 14, we are holding joint worship services with FUMCV at New Scotland Presbyterian Church,
Pastor Quincie Yamin presiding.

The church office is open Tuesday through Friday, 9am to noon.

The CDC currently rates Albany County with medium community
spread, so masks are recommended, not required, indoors.

 The middle pews are open.
The side pews (next to the windows) are taped off
for those who would like to maintain social distancing.

No objects, like offering plates or communion elements,
are being passed hand-to-hand.

If you cannot join us in person, recorded worship
from previous weeks is available (see below).
Note: Your receipt will say your donation is being "deposited to the Presbyterian Foundation for the benefit of
New Scotland Presbyterian Church."

Please be assured your entire donation comes to New Scotland Presbyterian Church.

The Foundation is a pass-through entity
processing transactions for the local church.

August 7 Announcements

The Mission Committee is in need of new members.  If you are interested or have any questions about what we do, please ask any of its members -- Mardell Steinkamp (chair), Mary and Margaret Ewart, and Reverend Holly Cameron.

We are looking to upgrade our hearing assist devices. We are learning about hearing systems with “T-coils” and wonder how extensively they might be used. If you have a hearing aid with a t-coil (sometimes called a t-loop, or telephone switch option) we would love to hear from you! Please let our Buildings & Grounds Chair, John Griffin, or the Rev. Cameron know if you might find a T-Loop system at church helpful to your worship.

The August edition of “Listen to The Churchmouse” was emailed last week. If you did not receive it via email, please contact the office. Tired of snail mail taking forever to send you your copy of the newsletter? Sign up to receive it via email and you’ll get it much sooner and save the church a stamp! Hard copies are also available in the church lobby. Contact the office if you’d like to make the switch!

New Fair Trade Chocolate! Fair trade items are for sale in the lobby. All items are at cost and include coffee, tea, chocolate and olive oil. Lots of new chocolate in several flavors have arrived. Check out the bins on the Fair Trade table! See Margaret Ewart for more information.

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.  Let your gentleness be known to everyone.  The Lord is near.  Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.  Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you."
