Our Sunday worship service is at 10:00 a.m. in person.
The CDC currently rates Albany County with medium community spread, so masks are recommended, not required, indoors. The middle pews are open. The side pews (next to the windows) are taped off for those who would like to maintain social distancing. No objects, like offering plates or communion elements, are being passed hand-to-hand. If you cannot join us in person, recorded worship from previous weeks is available (see below). |

July 3 Announcements
The church office will be closed on Tuesday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen on Wednesday July 6, and resume our normal hours, 9:00 to noon. Support Our Church: Our church is facing a challenge right now as a few of our regular income sources have dropped off. We have had to take four drawdowns from our endowment fund to help pay our bills this year. And July is a month with extra expenses as our quarterly payroll taxes are due. Please take a moment to support our church with your financial gift! You can mail a donation to: New Scotland Presbyterian Church 2010 New Scotland Rd Slingerlands, NY 12159 Or give online using the button above. Thanks for all you do to support our ministries! We are looking to upgrade our hearing assist devices. We are learning about hearing systems with “T-coils” and wonder how extensively they might be used. If you have a hearing aid with a t-coil (sometimes called a t-loop, or telephone switch option) we would love to hear from you! Please let our us know if you might find a T-Loop system at church helpful to your worship. Celebration for Dan Rogers. Wednesday, July 6, 5:00-8:00 pm: Join Albany Presbytery to celebrate Dan Rogers’ retirement. Dan was the Stated Clerk of the Presbytery through 2020, and we never had a chance to celebrate him! We will gather at Brown’s Brewing in Troy, 417 River Street, Troy; $15 dinner buffet, cash bar. RSVP to Judy 217-840-3316. Birthday Cards: Betsy Bates’ mother is turning 100 on July 19, and the family is hoping to have 100 cards sent to her. If you would like to send a card, note that you are from New Scotland Presbyterian and a friend of Betsy’s. Mail to: Eleanor Gifford, 27 Pearl St, Gloversville NY 12078. Fair trade items are for sale in the lobby. All items are at cost and include coffee, tea, chocolate, and olive oil. |

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you."
