The Blessing of the Animals
The Blessing of the Animals is held each fall during The Season of Creation.
Members of the church invite everyone in our local communities to join us
with their pets or with photos of their pets in our Peace Pole area behind the church.
It has become a tradition for us and each year we meet a few more people and their beloved pets.
In 2025, Spectrum News attended our Blessing of the Animals and covered the event on their TV channel.
In 2023, we made the front page of The Altamont Enterprise with these pictures from
The Blessing of the Animals. Above photos by Michael Koff.

Chicken & Rib Barbecues
Folks love our barbecue events, usually held twice a year.
Community Events
During the seasons of Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, we participate with other
local churches for special worship and choral events, such as an Ecumenical
Thanksgiving Joint worship and Christmas caroling.
As an Earth Care Congregation, we participate in local efforts to assist the
Albany County Conservancy. Below are pictures of the removal of
invasive species from the Bender Melon property.

Kirkin' O the Tartan
In 2025, we held our first Kirkin' O the Tartan, highlighting the Scottish history of the Presbyterian Church.
Spurred on by its success, we're planning a second one on September 6, 2026.
We invite you to join us for kilts, bag pipes and shortbread later this year!
